Tyrus Cox has over 15 years of experience in the fitness industry and has established himself as one of Austin’s premiere fitness authorities. For the past 5 years, as the owner and director of Be Fit Personal Training, he is dedicated to helping clients achieve their “Personal Best” at his private gym and training facility located in downtown Round Rock.
Tyrus trains men and women, ages 13 to 85. His client base ranges from athletes in training, to brides on a mission — from corporate executives and professional dancers, to new and expectant mothers. Though his clients run the fitness gamut, they all have one thing in common: Everyone wants to feel and look their best.
Tyrus is dedicated to making each workout personalized, fun and effective. His workouts incorporate a variety of techniques and approaches to fitness, including aerobic circuit training, boot camp, pilates mat, plyometrics, traditional strength and weight training as well as Body Weight and Stability Training. Tyrus loves to integrate the use of Free Weights, Medicine Balls, Bands, the Bosu and the Stability Ball in his clients workouts to mix it up!
Prior to founding Be Fit Personal Training, Tyrus was and still is a competitive Judo athlete and a professional group fitness instructor. He is best known for his Boxing classes at Title Boxing Club, RPM Cycling at Gold’s Gym and several other classes that have high-energy, high-impact abs, thighs and buns workouts, and for also workshop series on self-defense for women.
Today, Tyrus can be found teaching his signature “Beast Mode” class at Title Boxing Club on Sunday mornings, and remains committed to his personal training clients. Simply put, he loves what he does.
